I am extremely proud and excited to become Chairperson of our fantastic local football club. I am looking forward to the task ahead and helping to make STFC a club the whole town can be proud of.

I would like to thank Steve Day for his endless hard work and commitment over the past 42 years in keeping STFC going and am glad that he has accepted the role of Honorary Life President.

The first thing we have done is form a new committee, this make the process of running the club much smoother and ensure our progression.

I have lived in Sawbridgeworth for over 25 years and have run several businesses in the town. I have been a supporter of our club and try to attend most home games. Sawbridgeworth now has a population nearing 9,000, with further developments on the horizon, my aim is to encourage more of our local residents to attend our matches at Crofters End. I am always surprised how many people don't even know we have a football club. I aim to change that, we want to encourage as many people in Sawbridgeworth as possible to support the club and feel that they are part of our club community.

Over the next couple of weeks, the fixtures for the forthcoming 25/26 and will be embarking on advertising this. I hope local businesses will support the club now and in the future with sponsorship and participation.
