Sawbridgeworth fell behind after 1 minute, straight from the kick off and without any Sawbridgeworth player touching the ball, the move involved 4 Harpenden players until James Ewington netted from 6 yards.

Sawbridgeworth responded with a few quick raids then a careless head back to the keeper led to Harpendens 2nd in the 28th minute Ewington scoring his 2nd. Again Sawbridgeworth responded well and pulled one back within 2 minutes, Ben Doyle shooting through a crowd of players following a corner. 5 minutes later Mitchell Das scored with a free kick from a couple of yards outside the area after he had been brough down.

Sawbridgeworth went ahead for the first time after 53 minutes, Anthony James' shot was blocked but George Wappett following up to net the rebound. Harpenden equalised when Toby Golder netted with a lob following a free kcik in the 58th minute. Chances were spurned by both sides and there was no further score when 90 minutes were up. In the last few seconds Tom Selkirk denied Ewington his hat trick with a full length save at the foot of a post.

Extra time was a hectic affair, there were scoring opportunities for both sides until with just 2 minutes of extra time left the hard working George Wappett shot on the run, the ball rebounded from Chris Walker in the home goal to Anthony James who shot home via a post for a great winner. Sawbridgeworth are now away to St. Margaretsbury in the Semi Final.
